We support customers with Centers of Excellence in Washington DC, Huntsville, AL and Burlington, MA with an additional 36 locations across the U.S. Astrion has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Program Manager to support t he Presidential and National Voice Conferencing (PNVC) Integrator program office, which is within the Strategic Communications Division (AFNWC/NCS) and located at Hanscom AFB, MA. The PNVC Integrator program will integrate and test a satellite-based, worldwide, survivable, secure voice conferencing capability for the National Command Authority and other senior national and military leaders. LOCATION: Hanscom AFB, MA JOB STATUS: Full Time, Salaried TRAVEL : CONUS travel up to 10% may be required SECURITY CLEARANCE : An active US security clearance is required JOB RESPONSBILITIES:
  • Support the program manager(s) with contract activities, including assessing what is within schedule and cost baselines, recommend viable solutions to problems, and pursue alternative courses of action
  • Support development and review of draft Request for Prop osal (RFP) documents and RFP documents, collaborate with a diverse group of functions to review proposals, support technical evaluations and fact-finding efforts and subsequently, assist program lead on contract management

  • Provide quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.)
  • Support program management reviews, meeting/reviews and Integrated Master Plan/Integrated Master Schedule (IMP/IMS) reviews, and integrate inputs for the monthly Integrated Program Management Report (IPMR) assessments
  • Develop various briefings and schedules of program status and acquisition tasks to leadership QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Bachelors degree and 15 years of experience (5 years DoD), OR 20 years of directly related experience (8 years DoD)
  • Comprehensive knowledge of principles, policies and practices of systems acquisition and program management, as defined in DoDI 5000.02 and AFI 63-101/20-101
  • Knowledge of the roles and relationships within the DoD and Air Force acquisition stakeholder community and acquisition organizations
  • Knowledge of qualitative and quantitative techniques for gathering, analyzing, and measuring the effectiveness, efficiency and productivity of acquisition programs
  • Ability to effectively communicate orally and in writing, providing quality acquisition and program documentation (briefings, documents, plans, etc.)
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Project What We Offer
