Software Systems Engineer LCAT: Engineer POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: Support program execution and software systems engineering processes through the analyses of system performance, effectiveness, compatibility and interoperability in an extremely complex System of System (SoS) environment. Work with customer, functional management, engineering, and program management to create the analytical environment to critically analyze software system performance, effectiveness, compatibility and interoperability of an extremely complex System of System (SoS) environment in a multi-level security environment. Must possess the ability to rapidly understand new concepts, apply them accurately in an evolving and complex environment, and effectively organize, schedule and coordinate work phases and tasks. RequiredExcellent oral and written communication, computer, documentation, presentation, and interpersonal skills are required. Previous experience is required in the following technical areas:
Radar Systems
RF Sensors
Anti-Tamper
Sensor Integration & Test
Operations
Modeling and Simulation Specific Duties and Responsibilities include:
Support Government Engineer in the development of software development required documentation.
Review and evaluate software test requirements to ensure completeness of the test program
Develop Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&Ms) in support of program execution
Develop/review test scenarios and complementing program requirements
Participate in test planning working groups and test readiness reviews, as needed
Assist in the development of engineering technical documentation
Assist in the development of interim and final reports
Establish and maintain a program filing system or databases for technical documentation and system/subsystem specifications
Verify and comply with engineering documentation standards and test procedures
Support program management and software systems engineering processes and meetings REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, physics, mathematics or related technical area
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience in engineering positions
Minimum ten (10) years’ experience with integration and testing of RF systems
Ability to create compelling, coherent briefing products; excellent writing skills
Direct experience supporting U.S. Navy Weapons Systems acquisition program engineering at levels up to and including Special Access Required
Active Top Secret security clearance DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
At least three years’ previous experience with classified programs
A combination of theoretical, engineering, managerial, and field experience
