Job Type Full-time Description What You'll Do: As the Training Systems Deputy Program Manager, you will be part of the cohesive and integrated team responsible for planning and fielding training systems for the PMA-290, P-8A program. The primary responsibilities of the Training Systems Deputy Program Manager include: * Under the cognizance of PMA-205 and Platform PEO/PMA, assist in the development and implementation of procurement and management policies, controls, and operating procedures for overall planning and execution to the P-8A acquisition and timely execution of the P-8A Training System requirements during all phases of the life cycle
Estimates workforce requirements and costs, plans, controls, and coordinates/monitors all stakeholders from program initiation through the end of the program or training system lifecycle
Analyzes needs and requirements to assess and determine P-8A Training System platform-specific solutions to be procured and addresses program initiatives including aircraft system/training system concurrency, classroom training systems, aviation-based weapons systems courseware, and simulation-based training solutions
Identifies program office and competency area support needed to meet P-8A Training System platform training requirements, establishing program, project, and sub-tier Integrated Program Teams
Recommends programmatic tasking to program, project, and sub-tier IPTs and, as appropriate, delegates product decision authority to appropriate program, project, and sub-tier team leaders
Defines IPT management performance metrics and interface requirements for overarching program and sub-tier IPTs
Additional tasking may be required based on the needs of the program and government customer Requirements Who You Are: * Bachelor's degree and 8 years of experience in training systems design, development, or related discipline, plus training systems experience, required
Extensive knowledge and understanding of NAVAIR acquisition processes and procedures
Your portfolio of communication skills includes the ability to deliver oral presentations to convey technical findings and recommendations, the ability to write clear, concise, and organized memos and reports, and the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical personnel verbally and in writing
You are able to establish and maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers
You take a proactive approach to your work and you're able to accomplish tasks with limited guidance and supervision
You have demonstrated critical thinking and problem-solving skills
