Our client, a telecommunications and media company located in Stamford, CT is in need of a Business Project Manager for a 6 month contract w/ high likelihood of extension. The Business Project Manager will work onsite daily, supporting a number of projects and programs simultaneously. Responsibilities will include implementing schedule, defining and reporting on project roadmap, status, development issues and success metrics to executive leadership, monitoring areas of risk, maintaining budgets and finding areas to reduce costs. This is a functional role that requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as the ability to multitask effectively.
Some understanding of technical jargon is a plus, but this is not a technical project manager role and the focus here is business acumen and functional leadership. Someone with a majority of experience in project management for technical projects will not be a fit.
Required Skills

• 5 years of project management experience
• Experience as a Functional Project Manager overseeing projects in areas such as:
• Service Transformation
• UX/CX
• Governance, Risk, and Compliance
• Finance
• Proven track record of managing multiple projects at a time
• Excellent communication skills
• Experience presenting project summaries and updates to C-level executives
