Job Summary
The Payroll Processor (External) plays a critical role in managing and processing payroll functions within the organization. This position requires a detail-oriented individual with a strong understanding of accounting principles and human resources processes. The Payroll Processor will ensure accurate and timely payroll processing, maintain employee records, and support benefits administration while adhering to compliance regulations.
Duties
- Process payroll on behalf of our clients, ensuring accuracy in calculations and compliance with applicable laws.
- Maintain client employee records, including new hires, terminations, and changes in status or compensation.
- Utilize Accountant's World Payroll Relief to manage payroll processing effectively
- Assist in retirement benefits administration by coordinating with internal staff regarding client retirement plan needs.
- Collaborate with the clients to resolve payroll-related inquiries and discrepancies.
- Generate reports related to payroll expenses, tax liabilities, and other financial metrics as needed.
- Stay updated on changes in payroll legislation and best practices to ensure compliance.
- Assist with ad hoc client payroll needs as they arise.
Requirements
- Proven experience in payroll processing.
- Knowledge of Federal & State payroll tax principles, including compliance matters related to payroll processing.
- Familiarity with Accountant's World Payroll Relief is highly desirable but not required.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks effectively.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data accurately.
- Effective communication skills for collaboration with external clients to ensure satisfaction of client needs.
- A background in human resources or benefits administration is a plus.
