About the Role:

ClearView is looking for a Senior Business Analyst to help us simplify our tech architecture and drive positive change for ClearView’s future. You will join an open, collaborative, and transparent team where career progression opportunities are possible.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Drive business decision-making regarding scope prioritisation.
• Proactively engage with other teams to clarify and understand business needs and opportunities, analyse and define requirements, and then investigate, recommend, and implement appropriate solutions.
• Use suitable analysis methodologies to clarify needs, ensure accurate identification of root causes and desired outcomes, and assist in documenting these needs.
• Apply analytical and conceptual thinking to design, recommend, and implement new approaches for, or enhancements to, existing business and systems requirements.
• Translate business needs into requirements, proposed solutions, and agree on delivery with management and external vendors.
• Review and approve functional specifications provided by external vendors to meet documented and agreed business and systems requirements, ensuring they meet the standards supporting subsequent phases of system development.
• Organise resources and assist them in preparing and executing quality assurance processes to ensure the delivered solution meets business needs.
• Work with other teams to organise the implementation of the business solution or assist the Release Manager in this activity.

Secondary Responsibilities:

• Adhere to system development lifecycle methodologies.
• Project manage small to medium projects.
• Provide technical guidance to the team.
• Meet compliance requirements.
• Recommend opportunities to improve processes or applications to deliver strategic objectives, facilitate the preparation of business cases and/or service requests, and implement other duties as directed by the Business Analysis Manager and/or Program Director.

Qualifications Required:

• Tertiary or industry qualifications in a business or technology-related discipline or equivalent relevant industry experience.
• High-level proficiency in MS Visio, JIRA, Confluence, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Access, along with a clear understanding of SQL Server and other analytical tools.

Attributes or Skills Required:

• Life Insurance (Desirable, not essential).
• Experience working in a Claims function.
• Good negotiation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Results-oriented.
• Proficiency in business requirements analysis and documentation, problem-solving, process analysis, costing, design, and implementation.
• Project management (desirable).
• Test planning and management (desirable).
