POSITION SUMMARY

A Software Development Team Lead’s main purpose is to develop moderately complex software programming applications and modify/maintain the existing software. The Team Lead will develop information systems by studying operations, designing, developing and installing software solutions. Leads in providing timely software delivery and the personal/professional development of team members.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Bachelor's Degree in the field of Computer Science/Information Technology or related field. Equivalent work experience will be considered.

Required Competencies:

1. 3 years of experience in Software Development
2. Substantial knowledge with C# or Java and web technologies
3. Substantial knowledge of the software development process and related technologies
4. Understanding of major programming and database languages
5. Drive to stay current on the newest technologies and methodologies
6. Substantial knowledge of web technologies, such as Angular, JQuery, CSS3, HTML5
7. Experience with NoSQL and Big Data solutions
8. Understanding of design patterns, best practices, analytical thinking and good troubleshooting skills
9. Motivated, good at communicating with technical and non-technical business associates, and superb work ethic
10. Ability to lead a team by communicating effectively, building and maintaining relationships and managing work groups

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR DUTIES

• Develop and foster a team atmosphere that exhibits teamwork within the team, department, and company.
• Participate in the design phase of software projects, working closely with the Developers and the UX/Design Team. 
• Work with the VP of Engineers and team to analyze and optimize code and systems regularly. 
• Provide maintenance, support and troubleshooting for development team members.
• Provide maintenance, support and troubleshooting for end-users, especially during new releases and hotfixes.
• Periodically fulfill ad-hoc requests for customers and other departments within the company.
• Guide team development efforts to successful project delivery.
• Observe and document developer’s performance to assist with annual performance reviews.
• Other duties as assigned.
