POSITION SUMMARY
As a Consultant in our Technical Testing Services (TTS) team, you will help plan and deliver world-class offensive security services to assist customers in mitigating existing and future cybersecurity risks. As a Consultant, you will spend 80% of your time working directly with our customers performing billable services; however, assisting the TTS team with internal tasks and helping refine and expand our services will also be responsibilities of this position. You will also help contribute to the Clearwater's growth by supporting the sales team in scoping TTS engagements. You can work from anywhere in the United States with internet access. As a member of Clearwater's Consulting Services organization, you will help our customers improve patient safety, safeguard sensitive health information, and protect their corporate capital and reputation, by delivering strong, proactive privacy and cyber risk management solutions. You will also be able to participate in industry organizations and collaborative efforts on a national level. This position offers a great opportunity to develop and share mastery of technical security testing with others while exploring emerging industry issues, and technologies.
You are expected to continue developing your mastery of technical testing techniques, tools and procedures, developing new skills, and growing professionally, while at Clearwater. The Consultant is expected to take on new responsibilities over time.
Requirements
SPECIFIC JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
•Deliver offensive security services in at least two of the following areas including network, cloud, mobile application, web application and wireless penetration testing and related technical security assessments.
•Collaborate with clients, project management, and engagement leaders to identify, develop, and obtain information for developing approach proposals.
•Assist in the development of best practices, strategies, methodologies, and documentation/templates for use by the TTS team.
•Achieve high levels of client satisfaction on all engagements by meeting or exceeding client expectations set by engagement leaders and project managers.
•Provide thought leadership through the delivery of webinars, participation in industry groups and authoring technical blog, articles and case studies.
•Work in collaboration with TTS leadership to continue to update and mature TTS capabilities.
•Identify methods to improve processes and service delivery and communicate issues and risks to leadership.
  • Pursue additional education and stay current on best practices, technical skills, and tools related to technical testing services and duties, including gaining professional certifications.
  • Become knowledgeable of Clearwater's solution and service offerings, sales process, marketing materials, contract and SOW structure, methodologies, delivery standards, work tools, and processes.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
The Consultant should have at least 2 or more years of previous experience performing penetration testing engagements, preferably in the healthcare space. Through previous experience, he/she must demonstrate analytic and problem-solving skills, especially with technical security analysis and customer reporting. The individual must have experience with relevant technologies to perform the job functions.
QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & KNOWLEDGE
  • Knowledge of proprietary and open-source technical security testing tool suites. For example, Nessus, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Kali Linux, etc.
  • Strong customer service orientation and the ability to work with minimal supervision on a variety of projects simultaneously, exercising good judgment and initiative to manage priorities.
  • Effective verbal communications and presentation skills in a customer setting
  • Written communication skills, in particular, regarding transforming technical findings into business recommendations which identify recommendations for remediation of findings.
  • Ability and willingness to learn about creating and executing repeatable work processes and procedures and learning techniques for planning, developing materials and delivering training on technical subject matter and software products.
  • Proficiency with software tools/applications (Microsoft 365, etc.)
  • Excellent analytic and problem-solving skills in technical security testing, analysis, and reporting
  • The initiative and ability to study and learn new subject matter and context quickly, digest customer statements of work (SOWs), prior customer proposals, project notes, deliverables, and final reports.
  • Ability to assimilate previous experience, relevant subject matter, data, facts, and results; and develop relevant questions for colleagues to hasten understanding of scenarios, methodologies, processes, and "lessons learned."

WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • Currently, Clearwater is an entirely "virtual" company, and all colleagues work remotely.
  • Work remotely and provide own cell phone, Internet service.
  • Company provides subscriptions to Salesforce.com, Basecamp, Microsoft On-Line Services, Encryption tools, Data backup, Zoom Meeting, and other tools selected as standard by the Company.
