Description

The position of the backline and staging lead will involve creating parts list and executing systems for backline and staging of productions. This position will also support and assist with systems related to backline and staging.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Primary responsibilities are for the system infrastructure used in backline and staging systems.
• Works with Sales and Operations to provide detailed equipment list and designs based on customers show needs.
• Works closely with Clearwing’s backline and staging technician team to ensure that systems function correctly. troubleshooting, monitoring, and documentation. Analyzes and rectifies faults relating to backline and staging equipment.
• Installs, repairs, tests, and troubleshoots backline and staging equipment as needed to keep systems functional. Provides an adequate level of on-site troubleshooting, as required.
• Coordinates, and manages the repair of equipment with internal and external service technicians. Provide necessary preventative maintenance to reduce risk to assets.
• Monitor backline and staging equipment using both traditional and online tools and provide guidance for those working with the equipment.
• Recommends upgrades to gear including replacement of systems and equipment.
• Provide support to the Design/Engineering team as necessary, providing technical support and insight into specific products' capabilities and limitations. Assists in the development of companywide rigging standards.

Qualifications

Skills and Qualifications:

• Extensive knowledge of backline and staging systems and infrastructure.
• Ability to read and understand necessary documentation.

Physical Working Conditions:

• Regularly bend, twist, stretch, push, pull and carry, lift 50-75 lbs.
• Sit or stand for prolonged periods of time.
• Walk up and down stairs or ladders and comfortable with heights.
• Work in various temperatures and outdoor weather conditions.
• Work "on-call" as needed including some nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Work long hours and overtime as required.
• Able to Travel (possibly with short notice).
