**Job Summary ...**
Direct the daily operation of a service department made up of a group of specialty boiler Technicians. Coordinate company technical resources to ensure appropriate solutions are offered. Monitor order status to ensure customer satisfaction. We are a 24/7 customer driven operation.
**Essential Functions ...**
* This is a direct customer facing position. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required. Must be able to multi task and respond to customers emergencies.
* Manage 10 employees
* Manager 2 or more locations
* Technical sales and business development of opportunities with new and existing customers.
* Proposal generation based upon customer needs.
* Maintain daily schedule including future jobs
* Review manpower requirements on a regular basis
* Act as an initial technical resource for technicians in the field and coordinate escalated responses
* Schedule training for employees on an as needed basis
* Moderate local travel, generally by vehicle
* Position requires the constant and consistent exercise of intellect, judgment, and ability commensurate with supervisor positions in similar industries or situations.
* Position requires regular exercise of problem solving and policy or procedure interpretation skills.
* Ensure duties and company projects are accomplished in an efficient and cost effective manner.
* Adhere to company policies.
* Other duties as assigned.
**Physical Skill and Effort ...**
Work requires computer proficiency, moderate typing speed and a high data input accuracy level. Work involves fairly light and simple types of physical exertion. Work environment may include dusty and hot locations.
**Working Conditions and Hazards ...**
Normal office conditions. From time to time, slightly disagreeable features. Customer visits may include exposure to site specific hazards and safety requirements.
**Do You Qualify ...**
**Education:**
A High School diploma or equivalent is mandatory. A Bachelors Degree in Business or Liberal Arts is preferred. Five years experience in a similar industrial/technical position may be substituted.
**Experience:**
Computer competency including Outlook, Word, Excel required This position requires at least five years experience in a similar industrial/technical position.
