Primary PurposeTo assist the physical education teacher (s) as assigned. To assist the teachers and students as requested.
Qualifications Education/Certification:High School Diploma or Equivalent
Paraprofessional Certification PreferredCurrent CPR/First Aid Preferred
Special Knowledge/SkillsAbility to work cooperatively with others and maintain a positive attitude in the work
environment
Ability to use good judgement in problem-solving and decision-making
Use time productively, consistently arrive on time
Ability to follow district policies and procedures
Ability to accept supervisory direction and desire to improve job skills
Ability to demonstrate tact, courtesy and helpfulness in dealing with staff, students
parents, and visitors in the school
ExperiencePrior experience working with children, preferably in an instructional setting or gym
setting

- Work with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning of skills
- Assists physical education teacher with putting out and picking up equipment for each class.
- Assist with inventory, care, storage and maintenance of equipment.
