SummaryMaintenance and repair of all small engine powered equipment to include lawn mowers, pumps, chain saws, weed eaters, etc.
Duties And Responsibilities
- Maintains equipment maintenance and repair records.
- Instructs others in proper care, starting and operating of equipment.
- Performs routine and major repairs to a variety of gasoline powered equipment.
- Performs preventive maintenance to equipment such as lubrication, oil changes, air filters, etc.
- Establishes and maintains a scheduled maintenance program for ground equipment.
- Safely tests, charges, and replaces batteries.
- Winterizes all equipment systems as needed.
- Establishes spare parts requirements.
- Performs all other job-related tasks as assigned.
- High school diploma or GED; at least 5 years of experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified.
- Completed degree(s) from an accredited institution that are above the minimum education requirement may be substituted for experience on a year for year basis.
- Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
- Ability to perform all tasks related to lawn equipment maintenance.
- Ability to respond to breakdown issues.
- Knowledge of and the ability to understand lawn equipment manual.
- Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
- A valid Texas driver's license will be required if a motor vehicle must be operated on the job.
