Clermont Senior Services is Hiring an Adult Protective Services Investigator Near Batavia, OH
ADULT PROTECTIVE SERVICES INVESTIGATORRESPONSIBILITIES:
- Will exemplify the “Service with Heart” attitude that is expected of all employees.
- Conduct face-to-face interviews with customers in their residence and/or in facilities investigating allegations of abuse, neglect, self-neglect, abandonment, and exploitation.
- Collect and evaluate relevant information to make decisions related to investigations, services, and outcomes.
- Coordinate with law enforcement, judicial entities, families, facilities, and community agency partners regarding needs of customers served.
- Responsible for monitoring and follow-up with customers as indicated by the investigation findings and need for further information and referral, service and support to accomplish case plan goals.
- Serve and investigate guardianships as referred by the Probate Court. Responsible for preparing required reports (investigator’s and guardianship) and testifying in proceedings as requested by the Court.
- Completion of undergraduate degree program in social work, sociology, psychology, or related human services field. Current LSW licensure in the state of Ohio. Completion of undergraduate degree in criminal justice or certification in law enforcement will be considered.
- Ability to multi-task, strong time management and organizational skills, flexible, independent and critical thinking skills.
- Capable to remain calm, neutral, and emotionally intelligent during intense high-pressure situations.
