Cleveland Clinic is Hiring a Clinical Coordinator Pharmacy Services, Critical Care- HYBRID Near Cleveland, OH

Performs all duties as outlined in the Clinical Specialist which includes providing clinical pharmacy services to patients of all ages within in the specialty area, interacts with physicians and nurses to make recommendations regarding drug therapy of patients and educating staff pharmacists, technicians, pharmacy students, post graduate trainees, allied health professionals, nurses and physicians in pharmacotherapy within in the specialty area. In addition, provides leadership to service line by proactively assisting in high level clinical services, training, and education.Please note:While this role is located at Lutheran Hospital, this position is eligible for up to 50% remote work.This role will oversee and lead pharmacy services at Lutheran Hospital for both Critical Care services. Responsibilities:Identifies needs and implements standardized clinical pharmacy services across pharmacy service lines (e.g., Critical Care, Oncology).Provides mentoring to pharmacists, residents and students.Provides ideas regarding new clinical services, cost savings initiatives, and practice innovation through active participation in strategic planning efforts.Establishes processes to evaluate quality assurance within service line.Identifies pharmacy representation for academic responsibilities and interdisciplinary committees.Under the direction of the manager, directs, coordinates and provides feedback to staff regarding clinical services for assigned service line.Participates in interviewing and recommends selection of candidates.Other duties as assigned.Education:Doctor of Pharmacy degree from an American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP) accredited university.Certifications:Current state licensure as a Registered Pharmacist (RPh) or eligible for reciprocation in current state within 90 days of hire.Board certification through the Board of Pharmacy Specialties that aligns to practice area strongly preferred required within one year.For individuals required to administer immunizations,currentBasic Life Support (BLS)certification through American Heart Association (AHA) andcompletion of a Board of Pharmacy approved course inthe administration of immunizations or certificationobtained within 90 days of hire are required.For individuals required to respond to adult or pediatriccardiopulmonary arrest events, currentAdvancedCardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or PediatricAdvanced Life Support (PALS)Certification through American Heart Association (AHA), orcertification obtained within one (1) year of hire, is plexity of Work:Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.WorkExperience: Completion of a post-graduate year 2 residency (PGY2) plus a minimum of 1 year of experience providing pharmaceutical care in the relevant specialty area orCompletion of a post-graduate year 1 (PGY-1) residency plus a minimum of 3 years of experience providing pharmaceutical care in the relevant specialty area orMinimum of 5 years of experience providing pharmaceutical care in the relevant specialty areaPrevious leadership experience preferred.Physical Requirements: Typical physical demands include ability to perform functions of the job while reaching and stretching, and manual dexterity sufficient to perform computer functions of job.Personal Protective Equipment:Follows standard precautions using personal protective equipment as required.Salaries [which may be] shown on independent job search websites reflect various market averages and do not represent information obtained directly from The Cleveland Clinic.
