As a Medical Technologist/Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)/Lab Technician IV, you will:
Perform and interpret tests at all complexity levels.
Correlate abnormal laboratory data with pathological states.
Determine the validity of test results and the need for additional tests through monitoring and/or verifying quality controls, standards, etc.
Communicate test results, reference ranges, specimen requirements and other pertinent information to authorized sources.
The ideal future caregiver is someone who:
Is ASCP certified with a degree that specializes in the Medical Lab (preferred). Also open to Lab Tech IVs and those without certification.
Remains calm under pressure.
Can multitask.
Has high computer literacy.
Is willing to learn.

This position offers opportunities to train for categorial ASCP certification exams and can provide training for all areas required for the MLS certification exam, except for Microbiology which can be obtained at Cleveland Clinic’s Main Campus. You will also be supported if you choose to utilize tuition reimbursement and continue your education.
