As a Medication Access Pharmacy Technician at Indian River’s Outpatient Pharmacy, you will educate patients on their medications and assist patients who have barriers in achieving their treatment goals through improving medication access and adherence. Your duties will include:
Being responsible for providing prescription delivery service to patients in a variety of care settings.
Providing multi-disciplinary support to pharmacists, nurses, case managers, and other staff to promote an effective transition of care.
Identifying patients eligible for delivery service, reviewing drug benefit information for patients, third parties and HMOs to promote a smooth medication procurement process.
Delivering prescriptions to patients and ensuring proper payment upon delivery.
