This position is for an outpatient practice with a focus on general pulmonary medicine. The qualified candidate will be self-motivated, eager to learn, compassionate and ready to work on a multi-disciplinary team. This position is 5 days a week, 8a to 5p with consideration for a flexible start and end time. No nights, call or weekends. Practice location primarily at Main Campus with potential for occasional rounding on in-patients and learning procedures, such point of care ultrasound.
The outpatient pulmonary department is comprised of a large practice of APRNs/PAs and physicians that work in general pulmonary care and specialized programs by disease state such as: lung cancer, COPD, Asthma, ILD, Lung Transplant, etc. We offer robust opportunities in research, specialty training and professional development. Candidates must have at least 1 year of APP experience (procedure experience preferred). New graduates will not be considered for this position. We look forward to finding our next team member!
APRN: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and/or specialty nursing and/or medical care in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions in collaboration with a physician according to a standard care arrangement and specialty certification. Practice emphasizes health promotion, disease prevention and the diagnosis and treatment of acute and chronic health problems.
PA: Nationally certified licensed healthcare provider who provides primary and or specialty medical care (the practice of medicine) in a variety of healthcare settings. Functions the collaboration agreement of a Physician, (as per O.R.C. 4730) performs complete histories and physicals on patients of all ages to establish and record patient's current health status and to develop a working diagnosis and treatment plan to provide continuing medical care, including daily examinations, writing orders, chart notes, discharging patients and completing discharge summaries. This medical care may be in a variety of clinical settings. PA's are privileged by the Board of Governors. PA's in the Hospital care role provide outpatient and/or hospital based care to patients (more than 50% of their time) with complex, acute, and chronic health conditions. Outpatient/Hospital care PA's practice in a setting that requires the performance of diagnostic and therapeutic interventions to manage acute and chronic health problems. Must have the ability to work with multi-disciplinary teams.

Effective 05/01/2014: MSN required upon hire or within 3 years of hire for external hires and internal hires moving from a non-APRN licensed role to an APRN licensed role.
Graduate of an accredited APRN program.
If in neonatal care service area Master’s Degree is required upon hire.

Graduate of an A.R.C. approved Physician Assistant Program.
Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies and/or higher degree obtained from a program recognized by their practicing states Licensing Board.
