Registered Nurse (RN) HOPS – Pediatric Catheterization Lab & PACU

Cleveland Clinic’s Hybrid Pediatric Catheterization Laboratory allows an interventional cardiologist and surgeon to work together on our patients. These combined, or hybrid procedures, can be done without cardiopulmonary bypass and can decrease patient recovery time. Our hybrid lab's advanced imaging technology also provides a safer environment for both our patients and staff because it significantly reduces radiation exposure while maintaining excellent image quality. Cleveland Clinic Children's is one of the few hospitals in the country to offer this state-of-the-art laboratory. 

A caregiver in this position works 7:00AM – 5:30PM with on-call requirements.

A caregiver who excels in this role will: 

• Provide nursing care to patients undergoing diagnostic or therapeutic services to hospitalized patients in various healthcare settings. 

• Assess patients, complete nursing assessments, document findings in patient records and notify physicians of abnormal findings. 

• Perform telephone triage and call rotations. 

• Perform nursing procedures and administer treatments and medications.

• Establish care plans in collaboration with patients, families and the health care team. 

• Coordinate ongoing care, identify discharge needs and facilitate discharge planning. 

• Evaluate, initiate and maintain standards of care. 

• Educate patients and families. 

• Cover other nursing roles in the department. 

Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include: 

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. 

• Current state licensure as a Registered Nurse. 

• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA). 

• One year of recent experience as an RN. 

Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:

• Two years of recent experience as an RN.
