Cleveland State University is Hiring a Manager, Parking Operations Near Cleveland, OH
Manages operations of parking facilities owned and operated by Cleveland State University (CSU). Implements short- and long-term plans for maintenance, repair, replacement and/or improvement of parking facilities and equipment. Works with the Special Event Coordinator to accommodate internal and external customers. Manages field currency, non-cash transactions, and investigates discrepancies. Provides leadership and assumes field responsibilities. Supervises assigned staff and oversees schedules to cover CSU events. Maintains operation policies and procedures, while updating and training staff when changes occur. Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Business Administration or related field.
- Three (3) years of experience in a complex, multi-unit customer service-oriented business.
- Related work experience maybe substituted for education requirement. One (1) year of related work experience can be substituted for one (1) year of education. For example, a candidate with a high school diploma, GED or state recognized equivalent and seven (7) years of related work experience can be eligible to apply.
- Valid driver’s license and ability to establish driver eligibility under CSU’s Driving and Motor Vehicle Policy.
Preferred Qualifications
- Three (3) years of management experience in a complex, multi-unit customer service-oriented business or in operating and maintaining facilities within the parking industry.
- Experience with event planning and staffing schedules.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs)
- Proficient in written and verbal communication skills, the ability to make effective presentations, have strong public speaking skills, develop and drive change and effectively communicate change.
- Strong organizational and excellent interpersonal skills and have a “Customer Focus” attitude and delivery.
- Ability to effectively manage conflict and resolve difficult situations.
- Knowledge of and ability to utilize automated revenue control systems i.e. Pay stations or Point of Sale.
- Ability to successfully perform general math calculations and have strong calculation skills.
- Knowledge of budget development and cost estimating functions.
- Skilled with technology, including learning new technology and other database reporting tools.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights and weekends.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook.
