- Maintain a company-wide culture of learning so that Capital One continues to progress as a technology company.
- Facilitate the successful delivery of projects across the company through internally democratizing knowledge specific to Capital One’s tech ecosystem.
CODA Position Overview:As a Manager Software Engineering in CODA you will:
- Share your Software Engineering experience by:
- Creating asynchronous content
- Developing and delivering hands-on workshops.
- Mentoring new software developers as they transition from previous careers to being software engineers at Capital One
- Manage and lead a team of engineers, to develop products that will fuel our growth as a Tech company and help our associates develop cutting-edge skills.
- Partner with the CODA Programs organization to build successful software engineers for Capital one.
Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- At least 6 years of experience in software engineering (Internship experience does not apply)
- At least 1 year experience with cloud computing (AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud)
- At least 2 years of people management experience
- Master's Degree
- 7 years of experience in at least one of the following: JavaScript, Java, TypeScript, SQL, Python, or Go
- 3 years of experience with AWS, GCP, Microsoft Azure, or another cloud service
- 4 years of experience in open source frameworks
- 5 years of people management experience
- 2 years of experience in Agile practices
