Job Title: Project Controller
Location: Warton. We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: £41,361 depending on experience
What you'll be doing:
  • Establishing and managing the project schedules
  • Tracking spend and controlling project costs
  • Implementing and utilising performance measurement methodologies when appropriate
  • Driving ownership of the work scope tasks throughout the project team
  • Managing scope change for the project
  • Supporting the identification and management of Risks and Opportunities
  • Analysing project information to enable early identification of problems and then implementing mitigation actions
  • Providing managerial analysis and a level of independent challenge to the organisation with respect to project performance
Your skills and experiences: Essential:
  • Exposure of operating project control systems to define progress and identify programme performance issues
  • Understanding of creating and maintaining project schedules using various toolsets, such as MSP
  • Demonstrable understanding of risk, opportunity and change management
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills
Desirable:
  • A formal project management qualification such as APMP, Prince 2 or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of performance measurement techniques

The Project team: The team contributes to complex national and international projects within the Air Sector of BAE Systems. As part of this team, you will be working on class project control techniques to support the Project Managers in the delivery of large, high value, technically complex and strategically important programmes.
This role will provide you with opportunity to utilise state of the art project control technology and play an integral role in Program Management team
