Brief DescriptionPOSITION SUMMARYThe PMO Director develops and implements PMO processes and policies, directs project management staff, and works with other department leaders to define, prioritize, and develop projects and programs. Directs and oversees the Program Management Office (PMO) to ensure programs and projects meet organization goals and requirements. Oversee and direct adherence to NPD process
Manage a team of project managers and provide guidance throughout project lifecycles
Continuously improve project management toolkits and methodologies
Defines the overall objectives and key deliverables for the project
Develops and utilizes strong working relationships to ensure thorough and effective management of assigned project initiative(s)
Provide monthly training on project methodology and other trainings as needed
Provide Program Management and project team oversight
Establish project benchmarks and key performance metrics (KPI’s)
Work with finance business partner to manage quarterly project OPEX and CAPEX projections
Translate the project vision into program high level scope, design and executables
Supervisory Responsibilities:Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the Company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees, planning, assigning, and directing work assignments; appraising performance, rewarding, and disciplining employees; addressing concerns and resolving problems. Skills & AbilitiesEducation:
Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, science, business or related field required
Experience:
10 years of experience in new product development and project management required
Certified in Project Management is preferred
Manufactured products experience preferred
Experience in “waterfall” and “Agile” methodologies preferred
Computer Skills:
Strong skills in several office suites including Microsoft especially Excel and Project
Strong skills in multiple areas of Engineering systems
