We're looking for someone to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician.

The Pharmacy Technician works under the supervision of the Pharmacist performing assigned duties in support of the Pharmacy Department with an emphasis on accuracy, timeliness, and patient safety.

Essential Functions:

1. Performs all functions or duties under the direct supervision of the Pharmacist on duty.
2. Gathers patient's demographic, insurance, allergy and any other information necessary to fill/refill a prescription.
3. Enters patient information into the pharmacy software system for the purpose of processing prescription and third-party claims if necessary.
4. Creates a pharmacy patient label as required for all new/refill prescriptions.
5. Selects medications for prescription, counts, pours or mixes, places in appropriate container and labels in accordance with all federal and state regulatory laws and places completed prescription in area for the pharmacist to complete the verification step.

You'll be successful with the following qualifications:

1. CA Pharmacy Technician License
2. Possess and maintain Pharmacy Technician Certification (CPhT) (preferred)
3. One year experience in a retail setting preferred
4. Ability to make arithmetical computations rapidly and accurately
5. Bilingual in Spanish/English
