The Assistant Nurse Manager for the Medical Surgical Ortho unit will report directly to the Nurse Manager. This position involves collaborating closely with the Nurse Manager, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary teams to ensure the highest standards of patient care and operational efficiency.

Job Responsibilities

• Assist the Nurse Manager in overseeing the daily operations of the Medical Surgical Ortho unit, ensuring efficient and effective patient care.
• Supervise and support nursing staff, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance evaluations.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans, ensuring the highest standards of care.
• Monitor and maintain compliance with hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives, patient safety programs, and staff education and development.
• Manage staff scheduling, ensuring adequate coverage and optimal patient-to-nurse ratios.
• Address and resolve patient and family concerns, fostering a patient-centered care environment.
• Assist in budget management, resource allocation, and inventory control to ensure cost-effective operations.

The ideal candidate for will hold a valid RN license in the state of Florida. Candidates with 3 years of clinical nursing experience, including at least 1 year in a supervisory or management role will earn a fast interview. The candidate must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills, and have the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple priorities.
