A new opportunity has just become available in Louisiana for the Clinical Pharmacy Manager! The Doctor of Pharmacy-prepared candidate will play an integral role as a liaison, bridging the gap between Pharmacists, Hospital Staff, and Physicians.
Working collaboratively with the Director of Inpatient Pharmacy Services, the Clinical Pharmacy Manager will become responsible for oversight and management of hospital-facing pharmacy services, including processing medications prescribed by physicians, advising and assisting hospital and pharmacy staff on drug compatibility, attending and assisting in hospital codes, implementing policies and procedures, as well as ensuring safe and accurate pharmacotherapy for all hospital patients.
The team at this 250 bed hospital is seeking a strong inpatient pharmacist with a solid pharmacy residency background. The Clinical Pharmacy Manager will be a multitasker, working alongside a strong pharmacy services team while also ensuring appropriate timekeeping and scheduling of medications. Requirements for this role will include a Bachelor’s Degree, PharmD Degree, and hospital-based, inpatient pharmacy experience. Pharmacy Residency experience would be absolutely ideal in order to ensure the success of the Clinical Pharmacy Manager.
