The Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist will report directly to the Nurse Manager of their unit. This person will feel supported by their Manager and the Director, and will lead a fantastic team of Labor and Delivery RNs. The ideal candidate will be Clinical Nurse Specialist certified in the state of California.

The Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist will provide in-depth clinical expertise to the NICU unit as a whole, including Nurses and Physicians. This involves monitoring care standards and making recommendations for changes in NICU care. In addition, the position requires development of educational programs for patients, families and staff to promote more effective and quality care. The Neonatal Clinical Nurse Specialist will also be expected to provide consultation to physicians, nurses and other health care providers in unique situations as well as promoting use of best evidence based practice.
