A top performing hospital near Dallas, Texas seeks a talented Perioperative RN leader to join their team as the Nurse Director of Surgical Services.

The RN Surgical Director will be part of that culture and remain committed to that same vision.
Reporting to the Chief Nursing Officer, the RN Director of Surgical Services will provide leadership and overall responsibility for the fast-paced Perioperative Department. They will have the support of an Operating Room Manager, OR Charge Nurses, and OR Staff RNs. An Operating Room Nurse Educator will be available to support the Nurses, many of whom are CNORs. The Surgical Department performs many surgeries such as cardiovascular, general, orthopedic, neurosurgery and more.
The RN Director Surgical Services establishes and ensures compliance with standards of clinical care, and maintains accountability for staffing, quality, safety, service, and clinical excellence throughout the surgical department. They will promote the practice of professional nursing in the Surgical unit and coach the leadership team on utilization and resource management. The Nurse Director Surgical Services will communicate priorities and expectations, monitor progress, and provide direction and course corrections for their direct reports.
