A leading acute care hospital located in the heart of New York City is now seeking an experienced Perioperative Nurse Manager to join their award winning healthcare team.
This full-service acute care hospital is home to more than 250 inpatient beds and also offers a Level II Trauma Center. For more than a century, this not-for-profit organization has offered leading medical and surgical services to the surrounding NYC communities. This location is also a regionally known teaching hospital that trains nearly 200 residents each year.
Reporting to the Director Surgical Services, the Perioperative Nurse Manager will oversee the clinical and administrative operations of two inpatient units with 18 total beds. This department currently performs roughly 20 cases per day. Daily responsibilities include organizing department staffing of 15 FTEs, managing patient flow, ensuring quality patient care, has oversight of department resources and fiscal budgets, enhanced performance improvement initiatives, and collaborates with the Nurse Director.
