This nurse leader will oversee inpatient nursing services for the entire 300 bed short-term acute care hospital.Situated in Southern Michigan, this academic medical center and trauma center is celebrated for its exceptional patient care across multiple specialties, including Oncology, Surgery, Emergency Medicine, Cardiovascular Care, Rehabilitation, Mental Health Services, and Radiology. Reporting directly to the Chief Nursing Officer CNO, the Senior Director Med-Surg RN will oversee multiple inpatient units including Medical Surgical, Ortho/Med-Surg, and Telemetry. The Nursing Director will lead a strong team of RN Managers, Charge Nurses, RNs, Techs, and ancillary staff across multiple nursing units. The Med Surg Senior Nurse Director will be heavily involved in hospital-wide operations, serving a key role in developing and implementing nursing policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards, and fostering a positive work environment for nursing staff.

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing BSN, Active Michigan State RN License, 5 years of progressive nursing leadership experience in acute care services whether in Med/Surg, Telemetry, or Orthopedics, in addition to a proven ability to forge cohesion among acute care teams.
