Clinical Research - The Corvallis Clinic Asbury Building is Hiring a LPN - Clinical Research Coordinator Near Corvallis, OR

Compensation: $20.40 - $25.50 per hour (based on years of experience)
Summary:
The Research Coordinator /LPN m anages all aspects of conductingclinical trials including acting as liaison between the investigators, primarycare providers, the institutional review board (IRB), and the sponsor/CRO.Along with the investigator, the Research Coordinator/LPN will screen, enroll,and follow study subjects, ensuring protocol compliance and close monitoringwhile the subjects are on study. In addition, the Research Coordinator/LPN isresponsible for all data and source documentation, adverse experiencereporting, and maintenance of complete regulatory files.
Principal Responsibilities:
1. Will participate and maintain aculture within The Corvallis Clinic consistent with the content outlined in theService and Behavioral Standards Caregiver document. To this end, employee willbe expected to read, have familiarity, and embrace the principles containedwithin.
2. Maintains of accurate and completedocumentation, including but not limited to regulatory documents, signedinformed consent forms, relevant IRB approvals, source documentation, drugdispensing logs, subject logs, and study-related communications.
3. Sound conducts of the clinical trial,including but not limited to recruitment, screening, enrollment, and follow-upof eligible subjects according to protocol requirements.
4. Organizational management of all aspects of the trial, including but notlimited to timeliness in completing case report forms (CRFs), data entry,reporting adverse drug experiences (ADEs), timely communication with the IRB,managing caseload and managing study files.
5. Meets with potential research patients to explainstudies and assist the physician in the consent process.
6. Coordinates resources for effective response in adverseevents and/or crisis situations. Consultwith study doctor to assess toxicities and adverse events, submit requiredpaperwork to study, regulatory and federal agencies as required. Assess and communicates all aspects of theresearch patient's protocol related care with investigator and study team.
7. Responsible for patient teaching, advocacy and serve asa resource for the research patient.
Education, Licensure and Experience:
1. Graduate of an accredited school of practical nursingand current unencumbered LPN licensure in Oregon.
2. Minimum of three (3) years practical nursing experience required.
3. Current Basic Life Support (BLS)certification or ability to complete BLS certification within 90 days of hirerequired.
4.
Knowledge and Skills:
1. Ability to work compatibly with physicians, patients,and other staff.
