Clinical Solutions Pharmacy is the only 100% female owned and founded closed-door pharmacy in the United States serving the correctional population. Clinical Solutions ships out 35,000 plus prescriptions a day to over 400 correctional facilities in 26 states.

Position: Pharmacy Technician CPhT.

Q/A Schedule A: Monday through Friday 9:30am to 6pm.

Q/A Schedule B: Monday through Thursday 9am to 5:30pm and Sunday 8am to 4:30pm.

Order Entry Schedule: Monday through Friday 9am to 6pm, with a rotating monthly Saturday shift 6am to 2:30pm.

Competitive Compensation: The starting hourly rate is $21 for a Certified Pharmacy Technician CPhT.

Order Entry & Q/A Minimum Qualifications:

  • Basic math and analytical skills.
  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • Prefer Certified Pharmacy Technician, CPhT.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Dependable in attendance and job performance.
  • Prefer Licensed Pharmacy Technician in Tennessee.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to read, write, speak, and understand the English.
  • Prefer 1 years' Pharmacy Technician experience preferred.
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines and be flexible.
  • Excellent organizational skills, interpersonal skills and is detail oriented.
  • Ability to perform tasks accurately and efficiently when inputting information.
  • Strong attention to detail, ability to organize and prioritize to maintain productivity.
  • Possess the ability and initiative to plan for and complete daily activities with minimal direction.
  • Must be able to pass pre-employment criminal background and drug screening process.

Order Entry:

  • Courteously assists all internal and external customers.
  • Process prescription orders based on the priority assigned.
  • Enters new and refill orders in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations including HIPAA.
  • Comply with all state and federal guidelines regarding medication labeling.
  • Calculates and verifies the correct dosage based on the prescription.
  • Assist with pharmacy workflow fulfillment duties to meet production needs.
  • Consult with dispensing pharmacist regarding prescription order clarification, non-stock items, order entry problems or concerns.
  • Complete all data fields according to pharmacy procedures including use of approved abbreviations.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Supervisor.

QA Bulk Duties:

  • Reconcile bulk queues at the end of day.
  • Fill and perform quality check on medication orders to ensure drug name, strength, and quantity match the prescription label.
  • Review product for damage and ensure expiration date is appropriate for dispense.
  • Identify products that are not deemed 100% compliant to be given to pharmacist for review.

Q/A Prepack Duties:

  • Perform quality check on medication orders to ensure drug name, strength, quantity, and expiration date match the prescription label.
  • Review cards closely to identify double drops, broken tablets, and contamination.
  • Identify cards that are not deemed 100% compliant to be given to pharmacist for review.
  • Keep workstation area organized and ensure the area is free from any safety hazards at the end of shift.
  • Containers, documents, shipping labels, material, and other items displaying prescription product names, lot numbers, NDC codes, or other information that can be used to facilitate the distribution of contraband products will be placed in designated blue shred bins.
  • Make sure Blue Shred bins are emptied into the locked shred bins daily as needed.
  • Perform all tasks in a timely and economical manner
  • Follow all policies and procedures in the Clinical Solutions Employee Handbook, Safety Manual, and Fulfillment Procedures.
  • Follow all applicable government regulations, including HIPAA.
  • Complete special projects and other duties as assigned by the Pharmacy Supervisor.

Language Skills:

Must be able to express self adequately in written and oral English communication and to communicate effectively with customers, employees, and vendors.

Physical Demands:

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of the job:

  • May sit, stand, stoop, bend and walk intermittently during the day.
  • May sit or stand seven (7) to ten (10) hours per day.
  • May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.
  • Finger dexterity to operate office equipment required.
  • May need to lift twenty-five (25) pounds on occasion.
  • Visual acuity to see and read fine prints. Specific vision abilities required by this role include close vision, color vision and the ability to adjust focus.
  • Must be able to hear normal voice sounds.
