Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and dynamic Middle School Athletic Director/Youth Coordinator to join our team. This role is essential in enhancing our middle school sports programs and fostering community engagement through youth activities. The ideal candidate will be passionate about sports, youth development, and community building, with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively.

Clinton has an enrollment of 1,259 students. Clinton has a strong athletic tradition of excellence as well as outstanding extracurricular opportunities for all learners. The position will be for 216 work days and provide for flexible scheduling to meet the needs of the students. 

Preferred Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor's degree in Sports Management.
• Minimum of 3 years of experience in athletic programs and/or youth program coordination.
• Experience with scheduling programs such as Big Teams/Schedule Star programs is highly preferred.
• Strong organizational and leadership skills.
• Coaching experience is preferred.
• First Aid, CPR, and AED Certification.
• Knowledge and experience with MHSAA athletic rules and guidelines.
• Proficient in technology.
• Manage afternoon and evening hours, starting at 11 AM, to oversee practices, games, and athletic events.
• Strong communication skills to effectively liaise with coaches, parents, administrators, and community stakeholders.
• Knowledge of facility management and scheduling for athletic events and practices.
• Work closely with student-athletes to enhance the overall athletic experience and promote sportsmanship and teamwork.
• Willingness to collaborate with academic staff to ensure student-athletes maintain academic success while participating in sports.

Key Responsibilities:

• Middle School Athletic Director Duties:
• Develop, oversee, and manage all middle school sports programs.
• Coordinate schedules for practices, games, and events.
• Ensure compliance with school and district policies.
• Support coaches in training and development programs.
• Manage sports equipment and facilities usage.
• Youth Coordinator Duties:
• Serve as the primary contact for all community youth sports programs.
• Organize and facilitate the use of school sports facilities by community groups.
• Plan and implement youth sports events and activities.
• Communicate with parents and community stakeholders.
• Facilities Coordinator Duties:
• Ensure proper setup and breakdown for all sports events and activities.
• Maintain the quality and functionality of sports facilities.
• Coordinate with school and community groups to optimize facility use.
