The Quality Engineer assists in the implementation and maintenance of all quality management system items including ISO 9001:2015 requirements, PPAPs, APQP, customer corrective actions, process control plans and FMEAs, supplier issues and other customer specific requirements. Putting people first Responsibilities Ability to comply with and maintain certification of ISO 9001:2015 requirements and coordinate customer-requested ISO audits. Prepare and submit Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) packages, ensuring all elements are met per customer requirements. Participate in and implement Advance Product Quality Planning (APQP). Establish and implement process control plans and FMEAs to meet internal or customer requirements. Development and implementation of SPC activities - perform capability and gage repeatability and reproducibility (Gage R&R) studies on new jobs and other situations where they are needed. Lead customer or supplier corrective actions through root-cause problem-solving. Coordinate and perform Layered Process Audits (LPA) per audit schedule. Utilize the concepts of continuous improvement, including Lean. May be required to perform duties other than those specified in this description. Requirements Bachelor's Degree in Engineering 3 years of experience in Quality related roles 3 years of experience in Manufacturing.
