We are actively looking for a full-time general manager to operate our Fort Lauderdale location!
Job Purpose
To run escape rooms and ensure the best possible customer experience from start to finish. This includes ensuring games are properly prepared and that a safe, appropriate environment is maintained.
Duties
Work the front when not helping a customer or running a room. This entails greeting customers in the lobby, providing them with information, and escorting them to the register.
When making a booking, confirm the reservation with customers, including the date, time, and room, before booking and after.
Perform pre-game briefing (Provided by management) along with answering any additional questions the customers may have once in the room, without giving away any of the room's contents.
Fully supervise the game experience from beginning to end. This includes being attentive to the group's progress through the room.
Perform post-game debrief and answer any follow-up questions a group might have. Ensure each group had a positive experience in the room. When escorting a group out of the room, you must ensure that they have all their belongings and that they did not remove any game pieces from the room. Employees must escort groups back to the front before beginning their reset.
Reset each room as specified. Every piece must always return to its exact location. Do not change the locations of game pieces based on personal preference. Reset includes double-checking that all locks are set to proper codes before relocking them, that each game piece is functioning, and that the room is overall prepared for the next guests.
Ensure rooms are clean at the end of every night, which includes dusting, sweeping, and wiping down all props and locks, additional cleaning duties will be done as needed.
Ensure a safe, clean, and positive work environment by reporting any potential issues and risks to management.
Processing payroll and ensuring employees are clocking in and out appropriately.
Creating schedules for employees.
Taking inventory and ordering supplies when necessary.
Troubleshooting and reporting problems the games might have. If possible, fixing the issue immediately.
Booking, planning, and setting up events such as birthday parties or corporate buy outs.
Creating and/or posting social media advertisements and utilizing community outreach to broaden our visibility.
Daily cash counts and auditing to make sure sales are accurate and money handling protocol is being followed by yourself and your employees.
Meeting sales goals and budgets the store has.
