What do you contribute to?

If you start with us, you will be part of the driven and entrepreneurial team in Breda that is responsible for the accounting of the entities in the Cloetta Group. Within this team, we handle the administration for all Cloetta entities in the Netherlands, Belgium, UK, Ireland, Germany, Middle East, Sweden, Finland, Norway, Denmark, and Slovakia. You will work closely as a business partner with, among others, business controllers and supply controllers.

The team is led by the Manager Finance & Accounting and consists of Senior Financial Controllers (5 colleagues), Financial Controllers (5 colleagues), and Assistant Financial Controllers (4 colleagues). As a Financial Controller, you report to a Senior Financial Controller.

Your responsibility will be:

As a Financial Controller, you and the Senior Financial Controller will be responsible for multiple entities within the Cloetta group. With this, you contribute to the development of all processes within the department to provide reliable and efficient overall reporting.

You will primarily focus on:

• Handling monthly, quarterly, and annual closings.
• Preparing and justifying financial reports (managerial & statutory).
• Preparing for audits and serving as the point of contact for accountants, as well as following up on recommendations arising from audits.
• Preparing annual tax filings and delivering monthly statistics, VAT, and Intrastat declarations.
• Managing the general ledger.
• Managing fixed assets and intangible fixed assets.
• Maintaining and improving internal control over financial reporting.
• Participating in international Cloetta projects with an impact on financial administration.

Who are you?

Cloetta is looking for an enthusiastic and motivated new colleague, available for 32-36 hours, who possesses the following qualities:

• At least a completed higher education degree, preferably in Business Economics, Accountancy, or Finance.
• At least 2 – 5 years of relevant work experience in a financial environment at a medium-sized company or accounting firm, where experience in the food sector is considered an advantage.
• Experience with ERP systems.
• Good communication and social skills, proactive, flexible, accurate, analytical, well-organized, and highly independent.
• Good knowledge and experience with Excel.
• Experience in preparing reports (managerial & legal).
• Good command of both Dutch and English, in speaking and writing.
