About The RoleThe Senior Director of Physical Security will develop and mature the physical security function at Cloudflare, including executive protection, corporate physical security, datacenter security, and ongoing monitoring of news and events which may impact Cloudflare’s operations or personnel. Enhance the security program, ensuring regulatory compliance, optimizing access, and strengthening the enterprise security posture by implementing best-of-class, risk-appropriate, security technologies and processes. Work collaboratively with stakeholders, including Cloudflare executives, to develop security processes and implement protection for corporate locations, industry and corporate events, and personal residences.
What You’ll DoLead our Physical Security team in the identification, development, and deployment of security technologies and processes. Deploy comprehensive visibility technologies and alerting processes throughout Cloudflare’s corporate environments and data centers. Develop, communicate, and implement executive protection for Cloudflare leadership. Partner across the organization to maintain regulatory compliance for physical security across multiple countries and regions. Track industry trends and emerging technologies to ensure the program remains innovative and effective. Track current events and weather and measure impact to Cloudflare’s operations, sites, and personnel. Develop key results and metrics and communicate them on a regular basis to all levels of Cloudflare leadership. Occasional travel (including international) may be needed or site evaluations.

Project Galileo: We equip politically and artistically important organizations and journalists with powerful tools to defend themselves against attacks that would otherwise censor their work, technology already used by Cloudflare’s enterprise customers--at no cost.
Athenian Project: We created Athenian Project to ensure that state and local governments have the highest level of protection and reliability for free, so that their constituents have access to election information and voter registration.
Path Forward Partnership: Since 2016, we have partnered with Path Forward, a nonprofit organization, to create 16-week positions for mid-career professionals who want to get back to the workplace after taking time off to care for a child, parent, or loved one.
1.1.1.1: We released 1.1.1.1 to help fix the foundation of the Internet by building a faster, more secure and privacy-centric public DNS resolver. This is available publicly for everyone to use - it is the first consumer-focused service Cloudflare has ever released. Here’s the deal - we don’t store client IP addresses never, ever. We will continue to abide by our privacy commitment and ensure that no user data is sold to advertisers or used to target consumers.

- Develop risk-appropriate Emergency Operations Plans.
- Lead and manage a team of security analysts and operators to ensure the effective operation of the GSOC.
- Provide guidance, mentorship, and support to team members, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement
- Develop and implement staffing strategies, including recruitment, training, and performance management, to maintain a highly skilled and motivated team.
- Oversee 24/7 monitoring of security systems, including CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, and threat intelligence feeds
