Qualifications
- Fluent bilingual English/Spanish required
Pharmacy Technician duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Receiving and verifying the accuracy and authenticity of prescriptions
- Reviewing and recording patient information with their prescription incompliance with the guidelines of the General Pharmaceutical Council
- Supporting the Pharmacist in the daily operation of the pharmacy
- Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Requires effective customer relation skills, ability to organize and interpret data.
- Requires good judgment, tact, diplomacy, and ability to problem solve.
- Able to work effectively in a team environment.
- Contact insurance carriers to verify patient’s insurance eligibility, benefits and requirements.
- Request, track and obtain pre-authorization from insurance carriers within time allotted for medical and services.
- Communicate any insurance changes or trends among team.
- Maintains a level of productivity suitable for the department.
- Clearly document all communications and contacts with providers and personnel in standardized documentation requirements, including proper format.
- Answering incoming calls and fielding patient questions.
- Maintaining a clean and safe pharmacy by complying with regulations, rules, and procedures.
Qualifications
- Highschool or equivalent (Required)
- Pharmacy Technician Certification (Required)
- PTCB Certification (Required)
- Pharmacy Technician Experience: 1 year (Preferred)
- Customer Service: 1 year (Preferred)
- Fluent bilingual English/Spanish required
