Must have a valid NYS LPN License and a year of Med/Surg LPN Hospital Experience

3 12's 7 PM to 7:30 AM

Travel Rate: $36.00 at $1,296 weekly and $413 NOT taxed

LPN Qualifications:
- At least 1 years of recent LPN experience, and/or Hospital experience in LPN Med/Surg
- A current NYS LPN License
- Current BLS

A Hospital Facility in Oneonta, NY is looking for a Med Surg LPN with at least 1 year of med surg LPN experience. The position will be in the facility's Observation room. BLS, Core I and II Exams, Specialty Exam- LPN and Specialty Skills Checklist are required. Patients are ones who come in that are anticipated to be discharged within 2 midnights. They are typically alert, oriented, and require minimal to no assistance with their ADLs. Simple joint post ops, chest pain work-up, abdominal pain, etc. Patients are typically of lower acuity. Higher acuity patients are transferred to the med surg unit as quickly as possible. Travel experience preferred. Caregivers cannot be from Otsego county.

LPN Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and record patient vital signs and medical information
- Assist with patient examinations and procedures
- Provide wound care, including dressing changes and suture removal
- Perform basic laboratory tests and collect specimens for analysis
- Assist with discharge planning and patient education
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Document all patient interactions and interventions accurately and timely

Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) Requirements:
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice

-BLS
- Knowledge of medical terminology, procedures, and equipment
- Proficiency in electronic medical record systems (Cerner experience preferred)
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize tasks and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
- Flexibility to adapt to changing patient needs and schedules

Additional Requirements:

- 2 current professional references
- Able to pass background/urine drug screening
- Basic computer skills
- Professional, friendly attitude
- Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff
