Clover School District Office is Hiring a Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) Near Clover, SC
The individual would provide a broad range of services including: assessments and evaluation; individual and group counseling; crisis intervention; teacher consultations; and school-wide education and training. The primary duty of the position is to provide direct services and school-based consultations, including data collection and services, professional consultation with school staff, and program development at the school. The position is also responsible for maintaining records and completing other required paperwork. As part of the array of this work, the LISW will provide more intensive services for youth with social/emotional/behavioral skill deficits that impact daily functioning and success at school. Essential Functions And Job DutiesServices to Students:
Provides crisis intervention.
Develops intervention strategies to increase academic success.
Assists with conflict resolution and anger management.
Helps the child develop appropriate social interaction skills.
Assists the child in understanding and accepting self and others
Services To School Personnel
Provides staff with essential information to better understand factors (cultural, societal,economic, familial, health, etc.) affecting a student’s performance and behavior.
Assesses students with mental health/behavioral concerns.
Develops staff in-service training programs.
Assists teachers with behavior management.
Provides direct support to staff.
Performs other such duties and assumes other such responsibilities as may be assigned by the Executive Director of Special Services or School based administration
Services To Families
Provide support to children and their families, including parent/caregiver education and self-advocacy.
Provide parent/caregiver training to help them acquire the necessary skills to support their child
Qualifications
Minimum of a Master’s degree in Social Work.
Certified with Soth Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation (LLR) as a LISW
Must maintain credentialing in compliance with the LLR
Must complete Continuing Education Courses as outlined by the LLR
