Clover School District is Hiring a Board Certified Behavior Analyst Near Clover, SC

Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)

Under the direction of the Executive Director of Special Services, the Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) will work collaboratively with school and district staff to build positive behavioral programs for students with behavior issues including - data collection, assessment, curriculum adaptations, written behavioral support plans and training of district staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND JOB DUTIES:

  • Develop materials and trainings, provides resources and professional learning to administrators, educators, para-educators and parents/guardians in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA), and and/or other evidence-based methodologies related to addressing the needs of students with behavior difficulties.
  • Plan and oversee the development and implementation of programs, policies, and best practices related to instruction using the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) for students with disabilities.
  • Assist District staff with conducting functional behavioral assessments for individual students.
  • Create and assist District staff with the development and implementation of behavior plans, and appropriate programs for students with disabilities that present behavior/learning challenges.
  • Implement, and assist District Staff with data collection. Review and modify interventions according to data.
  • Confer with members of the IEP team, District staff and other related team members, individually, at an IEP meeting, or in conference, to exchange, discuss, and evaluate student information for planning, modifying, and coordinating educational programs.
  • Work with and assist District Staff with students who exhibit inappropriate behaviors and provide support and professional learning for staff who work with students who exhibit such.
  • Provide professional learning and conduct functional analysis assessments of behavior for students with complex and/or severe behaviors in accordance with both Federal and State laws and regulations
  • Provides training to teachers, paraprofessionals, and parents in appropriate assessment, development, and execution of positive behavioral intervention plans.
  • Provides training in the data collection and documentation of various behavioral interventions.
  • Provides consultation, as appropriate, to psychologists, parents, teachers, and service providers.
  • Attends professional development opportunities to maintain high level of skill and knowledgeable of current research and practices.
  • Performs other such duties and assumes other such responsibilities as may be assigned by the Executive Director of Special Services

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge of:

Conduct disorders; data gathering methodology; diagnostic teaching; positive behavior intervention strategies; response to intervention models.

Ability to:

Assess behavioral and learning problems related to inappropriate behavior; train teachers, parents, and paraprofessionals in behavioral assessment, behavioral planning, and behavior interventions and documentation; help classroom teachers assess students' current levels of performance and ensure a continued focus on academic progress; serve as a consultant to administrators, psychologists, and teachers; work directly with students to find the appropriate means to express feelings; maintain detailed data to share with all stakeholders on a regular basis; organize and schedule time commitments to meet demands of the job. 

Job Requirements:

  • Minimum of a Master’s degree in Applied Behavior Analysis or Master’s and Certification in ABA
  • Certified with the Behavior Analysis Certification Board
  • Must maintain credentialing in compliance with the BACB
  • Must complete Continuing Education Courses as outlined by the BACB
  • Must complete supervision courses as outlined by the BACB
