System Administrator

About the Role:

Clover Sonoma located in Petaluma California is looking for a System Administrator to join their I.T. Team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and maintaining the organization’s technical infrastructure. Your focus will be on ensuring the reliability, performance, and security of the IT systems across departments. You will collaborate with IT staff to deploy and configure systems, troubleshoot technical issues, and implement system upgrades and patches. Additionally, you will support project deployment and build a robust technical environment.

Salary Range: $105,000 – $123,500 per year pending DOE

Responsibilities:

  • This position is directly responsible for critical corporate systems, including but not limited to: Supporting Windows 2016 – 2019 servers VMware virtualized environment focused on: Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, NTFS Permissions, Printer Management, Web Servers, Microsoft SQL Databases, SAS/iSCSi SANs, Data Protection technologies (Carbonite, Veeam), and other essential System Administration Duties.
  • Provide technical experience in performing high-level system analysis, evaluation, documentation, and implementation of very complex applications with a thorough knowledge of administrative and technical skills.
  • Update, patch, and configure system software that supports the company’s Infor ERP system (M3) and other applications per operational needs.
  • Provide technical experience in setting up and maintaining VMWare ensuring automated failover of between systems at all locations.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes. Recommend upgrades to systems as needed. Reporting all security anomalies to the IT Manager.
  • Monitor daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery data is successfully stored and rotated off-site.
  • Recommend, test, and manage Disaster Recovery Plan.
  • Assist with Planning, implementing, and supporting company-wide initiatives of new technology deployments, upgrades, and migrations.
  • Complete and update help desk tickets assigned with comprehensive resolution steps and applicable supporting documentation.
  • Act as backup for other areas of I.T. as needed.
  • Available for 24×7 on call duty, as required by manager. Work nights and weekends as needed to perform system updates and maintenance during off peak hours. ● Job hours Tuesday – Saturday, Saturday hours 1 pm to 10 pm.

What You Bring To The Team:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, communications, and overall dependability are essential ● Ability to work independently with very minimal daily guidance
  • 5 years experience in Systems Administration
  • iSeries (AS/400) experience
  • Good understanding of virtualization technology
  • Experience on VMware 6.0 or higher
  • Experience administering and monitoring SQL Server 2012 or higher
  • Comprehensive knowledge of PC hardware and software installation as well as troubleshooting techniques for all device types and software packages currently installed
  • Windows 10 and higher, Windows Server 2008 and higher, Linux, OS400, Google Workspace experience a plus
  • Experience with ERP systems preferably Infor M3 and SAP S/4HANA
  • Must have experience in standards development for data backups and recovery, capacity planning, and monitoring
  • Experience in building or participating in Disaster Recovery procedures for all production systems
  • Experience with VOIP Phone system preferably ShoreTel

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Information Systems preferred.
