The American Century Investments Technology Group is looking for a talented Software Engineer Associate interested in leading software evolution and innovation. You will assist in providing guidance in the design, development, implementation, configuration, integration, and support of the various technology tools used across American Century Investments. This includes working closely with a diverse group of business stakeholders to understand their needs and then translating those into solutions. Empower and champion team success. Experience with developing in Cloud environment and knowledge of cloud/AWS infrastructure. Identify innovative ideas and build consensus for adoption and its execution. Lead and develop feature enhancements and coordinate releases through continuous delivery. Ability to lead in solving complex technology/ software problems, identifying the root cause, and resolving the issue. Required: Bachelor’s degree in computer science or similar technical field, or an equivalent combination of education and work experience. Hands-on IT development experience and leading technology solutions. Working knowledge of Cloud technologies (AWS), containers, non-relational databases. Knowledge of formal application development methodologies. Proficiency in the clear expression of ideas both verbally and in writing with business and technical teams. Preferred: Knowledge of the financial services industry, including financial securities, mutual funds, and ETFs Experience working with Python is preferred Experience developing cloud native solutions is preferred Experience with SQL and relational database platforms (DB2, Oracle, SQL Server) Experience building applications using CI/CD pipeline Experience with front end development (React, Svelte).
