The Senior Tax Manager will oversee all aspects of corporate taxation including ensuring compliance with tax laws in our operating jurisdictions including tax provision preparation in accordance with ASC 740, a variety of tax compliance activities ranging from property tax filings, sale tax exemption filings, state tax filings, collaboration on federal and state income tax returns as well as tax planning activities.

Responsibilities:

• Advise clients within private and publicly traded companies on tax implications of business objectives, evaluate alternative actions, and identify appropriate methods of complying with tax laws and regulations as well as the accounting requirements of ASC 740.
• Provide tax provision calculations for global or domestic interim and year-end income tax provisions.
• Identify complex tax issues that may arise within the engagement, as well as opportunities for ancillary service offerings. Bring the issues along with possible solutions to the Director.
• Maintain industry knowledge of tax policy and law changes to ensure the tax provision model reflects the appropriate tax provision calculation.

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong tax technical knowledge including ASC 740/FIN 48.
• Experience with Federal R&D credits preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent required.
• CPA Certification preferred.
• 8 years of relative accounting experience; public accounting, a mixture of public and corporate tax, or professional services experience is highly preferred.
• 5 years of supervisory experience preferred.
