**Central Purpose of Job**

The Rolling Mill Shift Supervisor provides the tools and resources necessary to foster an atmosphere of continuous improvement and employee development in order to protect shareholder investment and operational capacity. Continuous process of improvements plant wide to include: processes, cost efficiency, reduce waste and management of department. The Rolling Mill Shift Supervisor advocates sound maintenance business practices to support mill operational processes to produce a quality product within budget that meets or exceeds customer expectations and supports the business strategies and goals of the mill, division, CMCA and CMC.

**Knowledge and Education Requirements**

* Minimum two years rolling mill experience in a hands-on environment.

* High school diploma or equivalent.

* Ability to recall specifics, methods, and processes.

* Comprehend and apply analyzed procedures.

**Skill Requirements**

* Operate fork lifts and overhead cranes safely and fluently

* Operate a computer fluently (outlook, excel, word, etc.)

* Use of all measuring devices (tapes, micrometer, inside outside calipers, etc.)

* Must be able to multi task and follow through with task and direction given as well as give direction to direct reports.

* Must be able to follow instructions given by supervisor or manager in timely and safe manner

* Must be responsible and dependable
