CMS | Crowd Management Services is Hiring an Operations Manager Near Billings, MT

Crowd Management Services has been the largest crowd management services provider in the Pacific Northwest for over 40 years. We deliver customized guest services, crowd management, and security solutions by emphasizing prevention, for crowds of all sizes.

We are currently recruiting an Operations Manager, in the Billings, MT area.

The Operations Manager will facilitate in the following areas:

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all operations in Montana. Work directly with Vice President of Operations to ensure responsibilities for the region are being carried out.
  • Attend all venue meetings and/or client meetings as needed.
  • Meet with perspective clients to provide cost estimates and staffing estimates that protect Starplex/CMS from liability and maximize profit wherever possible.
  • Marketing and Sales- Find work sources and potential clients to grow your region.
  • Provide projection of sales by 25th of each month to the Vice President of Operations. Update those sales if major events are added or canceled.
  • Create Master Position sheets and position staff scheduled for major events.
  • Review completed sign in sheets, payroll, and rates.
  • Provide invoices for payroll to ensure we are not losing hours.
  • Recruit new staff to meet client needs.
  • Ensure all staff are properly trained and that there are updated meetings on changes to policies and procedures or to add new items directed by Corporate. Document those trainings.
  • Create a monthly scheduling book with schedule sheets and shift times based on client requirements and monitor staff being scheduled by assistant manager.
  • Assist with scheduling staff cleaners for the venues we provide this service to
  • Monitor Overtime. When there are issues please adjust where possible and break down the reasoning for it. When possible, bill for it if client demands same staff.
  • Ensure that the client receives invoices in a timely manner.
  • Complete bill log and invoices in a timely manner and send to corporate Finance.
  • Work and monitor all major events when possible.
  • For smaller events make sure the client sees you and the venue when possible before leaving.
  • Fix and maintain event files to ensure they are being saved the same as all regions (Vice President of Operations to provide examples.)
  • Ensure all employee files are properly maintained. Work with Human Resources to ensure they are being maintained legally and properly.
  • Make sure all medical, official documents, and any legal documents are sent directly to Human Resources (Immediately upon receiving them)
  • Contact the Vice President and President of the corporation on any legal items such as lawsuits or major incidents and provide follow-up.
  • Utilize our in-house payroll system (CMSe) to maintain up-to-date payroll data bi-monthly.
  • Make sure all staff have Paycom numbers in our internal employment system (CMSe). Work with the Special Projects Manager on this process.
  • Provide proper cleaning of the office, equipment, shirts, and coats.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor of Arts in Business Administration, B.S. Event Management, B.S. in Criminal Justice, or other closely related degree is desirable.

· Minimum of 2 years management or industry experience.

· The ability to communicate with a diverse staffing population.

· Proven leadership and management experience in a fast-paced environment.

· Must obtain and maintain active state licensing, certifications, and permits.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, etc.)

· Experienced with invoicing and bill logs.

Benefits:

· Competitive salary 53,000- 58,000

· Performance bonuses each year

· Additional pay at an hourly rate available for out-of-town events.
