CNH Industrial is seeking a highly experienced and motivated Director of Purchasing, NAFTA Parts and Service to join our dynamic team, based in Oak Brook, Illinois or Racine, Wisconsin. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of purchasing related to parts and sercvice to ensure the continuous supply of the highest quality parts at the most competitive total cost that supports the goals of the Parts and Sevice Organization. This role requires strategic thinking, strong leadership skills, and a deep understanding of the off-road heavy equipment manufacturing industry supply chain.
Responsibilities Responsibilities
  • Scope - approximately $500M spend, with 400 thousand active part numbers.
  • Lead a team of 20-25 purchasing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and performance management to achieve departmental goals and objectives.
  • Develop and implement strategic procurement plans to ensure the timely and cost-effective acquisition of parts and services required for heavy equipment manufacturing.
  • Identiy, plan, and execute cost saving initiatives through development of new processes in cooperation with vendors, resourcing activities or negotiations.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers to negoatiate favorable terms, pricing, and contracts while ensuring quality and reliability of parts and services.
  • Collaborate with other Departments (Material Management, Quality, Depot Operations, etc.) to ensure supplier development and strive for Operations Excellence/Lean Supply Chain through continuos analysis of the main KPI's and identification of the root cause and execution of corrective actions.
  • Work close with Marketing for Ship Direct suppliers to define a 3-year plan by strategic commodity (such as Lube, Batteries, Filters, Bearings, Belts, Precision Framing), execute the appropriate sourcing strategy and monitor the progress according to the plan.
  • Work close with other regions (especially Europe) to define global negotation strategy with Top Suppliers.
  • Monitor market trends, industry developments, and regulatory changes to proactively identify risks and opportunities for improvement within the procurement process.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to streamline porcesses, reduce lead times, and enhance overall operational performance.
  • Prepare and present regular reports, analysis, and KPI's to senior management, highlighting key performance metrics and areas for improvement.
QualificationsMinimum Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field; Master’s Degree preferred.
  • 10 years of progressive purchasing management experience; preferably in an agriculture or automotive manufacturing environment with focus on purchasing, executive planning, engineering, project management, product quality, and/or supply chain. Technical background and experience with purchasing best practices are preferred.
  • 5 years experience directly leading a team.
  • Solid communication skills both oral and written and ability to influence others cross-level & cross-functionally.
  • Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office suite (Especially Excel, Access, MS Project).
  • Ability to travel up to 25% (mostly domestic, some international).
