Position Summary and objective
The Training and Safety Coordinator ensures the coordination of Safety Training, Safety Equipment, and Safe work practices across the organization. This position also supports all Non-OJT staff with professional development. This position is a champion for creating a culture of safety and learning across the organization, with an emphasis on creating a learning environment for Non-OJT Staff.
Essential Functions

Environment Conditions, Physical Activity, Physical Demands
● Light lifting (up to 50 LBS with or without accommodation). ● Must be able to work seated or standing at a desk and/or computer. ● Must be able to stay on feet for extended periods of time (sometimes up to 8 hours) during training exercises. ● Must be able to be exposed to all weather conditions, especially during training exercises.
Travel and Transportation Requirements
Candidates must provide reliable transportation to their primary work location and other locations as required. Travel expenses (excluding commutes) may be reimbursed per Coalfield’s policies and procedures. Coalfield has a limited fleet of vehicles and frequently carpools to minimize travel burdens on employees. A valid driver's license and annual completion of our drivers safety course is required in order to drive a Coalfield vehicle.
Required Experience and Education
● Associate’s degree in safety or related field ● At least 2 years of experience in safety or related field ● At least 2 years of experience in training facilitation or related field Preferred Experience and Education • Bachelor's degree in safety or related field • 2-4 years of experience in safety • 2-4 years of experience in training facilitation or related field.
