Coast to Coast Legal Aid of South Florida, Inc. (CCLA) is a Legal Services Corporation (LSC) funded, non-profit organization. CCLA provides free civil legal services to low-income and other eligible residents of Broward County and is located in Plantation, Florida, a suburb of Fort Lauderdale. Our mission is to improve the lives of low-income persons in our community through advocacy, education, representation, and empowerment. We provide assistance in the areas of Family Law, Economic Advocacy & Community Health (public benefits), and Senior Law for clients age 60 and older. CCLA is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Accounting Manager to join our finance team. Ideal candidate will have Non-Profit experience. The Accounting Manager will be responsible for various accounting tasks, including financial reporting, reconciliations, journal entries, grant budgets, grant reconciliation. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to work collaboratively with a variety of professional staff.

Position Responsibilities:

• Responsible for month-end close process, including preparing journal entries, reconciliations, and accruals.
• Responsible for grant budgets.
• Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
• Analyze financial data and trends to identify variances, discrepancies, and opportunities for improvement.
• Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis to support business decision-making.
• Collaborate with other departments to gather financial information, resolve issues, and support cross-functional projects.
• Prepare documentation for external audits and provide support for audit inquiries and requests.
• Monitor and analyze financial performance metrics, highlighting areas of concern or improvement.
• Contribute to process improvements and initiatives to streamline accounting operations and enhance efficiency.
• Preparation of grant compliance.
• Additional responsibilities assigned by the CFO or Directors.

Position Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 10 years of experience in accounting or finance roles.
• 1 years of non-profit experience preferred.
• Strong understanding of financial accounting principles.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and financial reporting.
• Experience with financial analysis, budgeting, and forecasting is a plus.
