A $4,500 signing bonus will be paid, based upon satisfactory performance and continued employment, in three equal installments. The first installment will be paid in August 2024, the second installment will be paid in December 2024, and the third installment will be paid in May 2025. This is a nine (9) month position with a subsequent summer contract. Responsible for both preparing and delivering instruction to a diverse population using not only various course delivery methods (e.g., seated, online, hybrid, etcetera) but also various course delivery lengths (e.g., 16 week, 12 week, 8 week, etcetera) at various locations (e.g., campus classrooms and/or lab facilities, military installations, clinical or extension sites, high schools, etcetera). Fulfill other responsibilities and duties as a curriculum faculty member and full-time employee, to include, but not limited to, other duties as assigned. Teach curriculum classes/labs/clinical in dental hygiene. Working hours are Monday through Friday with a minimum of thirty (30) contact/office hours per week. Working days and working hours may vary, based upon institutional need or programmatic requirements. Must be willing to travel to clinical sites. Bachelor's degree or higher, required. Must have background in and current knowledge of dental hygiene and the specific subjects they will be teaching. Must have knowledge of educational theory and methodology concepts (e.g., curriculum development, educational psychology, test construction, measurement and evaluation) by the date of employment. Must be a graduate of a dental hygiene program accredited by the Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA). Must meet North Carolina dental hygiene licensure requirements upon employment. Prior teaching experience in CODA-accredited institution preferred. Supplemental Information
