Job Description
Job Purpose:
To Manage inventory levels by generating purchase orders, vendor RMA's, and moving around slow moving/zero turn inventory.
Duties:
- Identify products and the proper quantities of those products required to keep stores from missing sales without being overstocked.
- Develop relationships with vendors.
- Decide which vendors/brands to purchase from.
- Request quotes and negotiate pricing with vendors.
- Generate purchase orders to vendors.
- Return products to vendors that haven't sold, when applicable.
- Make sure inventory levels are accurate.
- Help the Director of Purchasing with anything else determined to increase efficiency and profitability of the company.
Skills/Qualifications:
- NO EXPERIENCE REQUIRED.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Management, Marketing, Management Information Systems (MIS), or Mathematics.
- Comfortable with numbers and math.
- Microsoft Excel
- Strong organizational skills
